Recently, a vulnerabilty assessment was completed with the Falls Village Day Care Center as a requirement for their application to various State and FEMA grants.
We wish them luck on their grant application process!
EMT students had the opportunity to participate in a hands-on mammalian anatomy lecture, reinforcing concepts taught in the classroom!
This included gross anatomy review, dissection, relationship to physiology, and connection to EMT level pathophysiology.
Thank you to Triple A Angus in Milan, NY for your continued support in the hands-on education of EMS students.
EMT students had the opportunity to expand upon their knowledge of trauma pathophysiology and management, specifically those injuries involving penetrating trauma and gunshot wounds.
Students were able to analyze gunshot wound patterns of 20 gauge shotgun, 9mm jacketed hollow point, and 9mm full metal jacket. Additionally, students were able to practice wound packing and further management of penetrating injuries.
"We owe a huge thank you to the Bethlehem Ambulance Association, Inc. for the recent donation of 2 used battery powered portable suction devices. They will compliment our medical equipment that is used as part of our first responder responsibilities. We had several members recently complete their Emergency Medical Responder training and the timing could not be better. We also need to thank Amato Consulting Services for their help in making this happen."

"Over two years ago, our Board of Directors began a search for a dedicated EMS Instructor to develop comprehensive training programs for our organization. As an organization, we were determined to find an instructor who would take an innovative approach to teaching our diverse membership.
Amato Consulting Services has allowed us to make noteworthy strides in our EMS education. For the first time in BAA's history, we had a 100% classroom pass rate and 90% NREMT certification rate, from our 2023 Emergency Medical Responder course. Additionally, we have seen great advancements in our quality of care thanks to the many provided CME courses, in-service trainings, advanced scope of practice rollouts (BLS 12-Leads), and committment to always go the extra mile.
Bethlehem Ambulance Association is grateful for the professionalism and expertise of Amato Consulting Services."
Emergency Medical Responder students were able to apply textbook knowledge of anatomy and physiology in a hands-on lecture utilizing donated bovine organs.
While it is a fun addition to a long day of class, students are ultimately able to obtain a well developed understanding of the human respiratory system - far more than a textbook can teach.
Students in this class are a combination of local volunteers from the Norfolk Volunteer Fire Department, Norfolk Lions Club Ambulance, and Canaan Fire Company.
